The giggliest person you will ever meet!

We’d love to get to know you a little better, tell us a little about who you are as a Creator?

I'm Cheyenne but like to go by Chey (pronounced Shy)! My main goals are to make others laugh as much as I do and create an environment where everyone can have a good time. I mostly play Dead By Daylight but you can catch me playing a variety of games occasionally. I am a Vtuber but sometimes have my webcam on for special streams!

When did you start streaming and why?

I started streaming about 8 or 9 years ago. I started because I have an undiagnosed medical issue that severely limits my physical abilities that randomly occurred one day. I was used to going out and hiking or playing sports but I was stuck spending a lot of time online. I've always loved gaming and growing up I was always told I was a funny / a good entertainer. So I gave streaming a shot to try and find friends I could hang out with while I game. It ended up turning into a lot more and I found it was my passion.

Streamers have gotten me through a lot of my hard times and I hope I can do that for others! Making other people smile/ laugh is something I've always wanted to do in life. I want to help others in any way I can, even if it's something as simple as making them laugh when they're having a hard day.

If it’s SFW, Where did your username come from?

It's just my nickname! Cheyenne turns into Chey. It's what all my friends called me my whole life. 4 letter names are quite Noice if I say so myself.

Do you have a moment in your streaming career you’ll never forget?

My first ever charity stream! I was raising money for Gamers outreach and I set a goal of $1000. My community hit that goal within an hour and we ended up raising over $5k. I was crying tears of joy, wearing a maid outfit, cat ears, and covered in stickers. I'll never forget how we were able to raise so much money for such a great cause. I'll never forget the sense of community and how proud I was at that moment. We definitely changed lives that day and helped children in hospitals have a better stay.

When you press end stream and turn off the camera, what does the rest of your day look like?

I feel like my life is quite boring but I'm happy to share. I end the stream and then I do some chores around the house. Play with my cats, go for a walk, then cook dinner. Occasional gaming in-between then.  I'm an introvert and like to have some time to myself where I'm on my couch and my cats are lying with me while rewatching one of my favorite shows for the 10th time to recharge my social battery.

Content creation is a 24/7 job, you’re the CEO, Editor, Creative Director, Community Manager and more. How do you mix work/life balance and being a creator?

It's really hard to balance it all. I have essentially a set stream schedule because if I don't, I stream for way too long and get carried away. I have a set day where I edit and post and then one day completely off of any content creation work where I recharge my battery and spend time focusing on irl. I'm lucky enough to do this full time for the time being.

Previously I was going to college in the morning, going straight to work, and then going live as soon as I got home. You have to find what is the most important thing to you and balance around that. I also used to work 9-5 then stream 6-10 after I graduated. It's really hard and you have to have priorities and have days where you focus on things away from the internet. Sometimes it feels overwhelming and if that happens I recommend taking some time off. Trust me, your community will definitely appreciate you avoiding burnout.. and if you are not enjoying streaming it's generally obvious to your viewers.

How did Noice grab your attention, and what were your first impressions of the platform?

I was reached out to from another content creator Sharon about Noice. I checked it out and loved how interactive the site was! It is extremely community focused which a lot of sites lack. The card game is super fun and it feels super rewarding to work as a team and score points. It's like streaming with constant automatic predictions which is so unique.

Do you think it’s harder or easier to get into streaming now vs 5 years ago?

I think there's more resources for how to start streaming and a lot of equipment is a lot cheaper and easier to access than it used to be for streaming. However the market itself is more saturated. So, I think it's easier to set up a stream and go live with everything working and have a nice setup, but I think it's harder to stand out and 'pop off'.

What advice do you give to others who want to start streaming now?

This is a question I get a lot so you'd think I'd have a nice neat way to answer this, but I don't.

I'd say to set boundaries early in your streaming career. I've noticed a lot of people hangout in smaller streams expecting a lot from the streamer because they don't have boundaries yet. You'll run into people who gift a lot and expect something in return from it. Please don't feel like you owe people things for supporting you!

I also recommend posting on every platform you can. Growth is so hard nowadays, you need to utilize all of the platforms. I also wouldn't get into streaming unless you have thick skin, you'll run into interesting people online. I highly recommend a schedule for streaming days and to set up a discord where you and your community can spend time together.

I would recommend having a decent microphone and ALWAYS BE TALKING. Even if you have no one talking in chat! Describe what you're doing, your thought process in games, a funny situation that happened to you. If someone clicks on your stream they won't want to stay if it's just dead silence!

Finally, find if you want to focus on gameplay, yourself, or comedy. Find your niche that works for you!

What’s next for you - what are your ambitions in this industry?

There are quite a few companies I'd love to be sponsored with/work with. I also really like helping and working with people, so if I could find a way to assist others with streaming or creation I think I'd do well in a role like that. For the time being I will stream as much as I can and try to put out the best content I can.

Do you have any mods you’d like to shout-out in case they read this?

LITERALLY ALL OF THEM. I LOVE MY MODS SO MUCH!!! I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING THAT I DO WITHOUT THEM!! I LOVE YOU ALL AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE HELP AND HOW MUCH OF YOUR TIME YOU GIVE ME AND OUR COMMUNITY EVERYDAY. 🐬🐬 Pod squad mod squad is the best 🐬🐬
